Make a Tasty Trail Mix

Trail Mix

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup nuts and/or seeds
  • 1 cup dried fruit
  • 3 cups grain

Directions:

Step 1: Wash your hands.

Step 2: Select ingredients using the table below for types and amounts of each.

Step 3: Measure Ingredients.

Step 4: Place ingredients in an airtight container.


Nuts and/or Seeds – 1 cup (Choose 1 or 2)

  • Peanuts
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Pecans
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Pepitas
  • Walnuts

Dried Fruit – 1 cup (Choose 1 or 2)

  • Raisins
  • Cranberries
  • Blueberries
  • Apricots
  • Apples
  • Banana chips

Grain – 3 cups (Choose 1 or more)

  • Shredded wheat squares
  • Rice, corn, wheat cereal squares
  • O-shaped cereal
  • Popcorn
  • Pretzels
  • Cheese crackers
  • Mini graham crackers
  • Sesame Sticks
  • Granola

Fun Ingredients – 1/2 cup (optional)

  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Shredded coconut
  • Peanut butter chips
  • Caramel chips
  • Chocolate-covered fruit
