Caramelized Banana Toast

Ingredients:
- 1/4 tablespoon butter or oil
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- Dash of cinnamon (optional)
- 1 large banana, peeled and sliced
- 2 slices whole-wheat bread
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter, or nut butter of choice
Directions:
- Wash hands with warm water and soap, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds.
- Over medium heat, add butter or oil to a small nonstick pan. Once butter is melted, add honey and cinnamon. Stir to combine.
- Add banana slices to the pan, leaving space between each slice. Let bananas cook for 2 to 4 minutes.
- While the bananas cook, toast the slices of bread.
- Using a small spatula, gently lift a banana slice to see if it has browned. Once browned, flip to cook the other side for another 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Spread each slice of toast with peanut butter then layer banana slices across each slice. Be careful handling banana slices, they will be very hot.
- If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle lightly with honey. Enjoy!
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator within 2 hours.
